Ingredients
  

  • ½ to 1 teaspoon ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • 2-4 ounces 60–120 ml filtered water, heated to 160–175°F (70–80°C)

Sift the Matcha

  • Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl or mug. Add the matcha powder and sift to remove clumps.

Heat the Water

  • Warm your filtered water to about 160–175°F (70–80°C). Avoid boiling.

Combine

  • Pour 1–2 oz of hot water over the matcha.

Whisk to Froth

  • Use a bamboo whisk or handheld frother in a zigzag (W or M) motion for 15–30 seconds until frothy.
