Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Tequila Blanco
  • ¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • ½ oz Orange Liqueur e.g., Cointreau
  • 3-4 chunks of Fresh Pineapple or 1 ½ oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1-3 slices of Fresh Jalapeño

For the Rim:

  • Tajín seasoning or a mix of chili powder and coarse salt

For Garnish:

  • Pineapple wedge extra jalapeño slice

Instructions
 

Rim the Glass:

  • Coat the rim of a rocks glass with Tajín or chili-salt and fill the glass with ice.

Muddle:

  • In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle the pineapple chunks and jalapeño slices to release their juices.

Shake:

  • Add the tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and a handful of ice to the shaker. Shake well for 15-20 seconds until chilled.

Serve:

  • Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a jalapeño slice.

Notes

  • Spice Level: Use 1 slice of jalapeño for mild, 2 for medium, and 3 for spicy. Remove seeds for less heat.
  • Using Juice: If using pineapple juice instead of fresh fruit, you can skip the muddling step. Simply combine all liquid ingredients and jalapeño slices in the shaker.
